Boat club

The Osney Island Boat Club is only open to people who live on the island. Membership costs £20 a year.

The boat house on the towpath has storage for small boats but spaces are in heavy demand and usually full. To discuss availability and membership, contact Simon Stubbings 01865 432727.

All members are welcome to use the club Canadian canoe on a ‘sign-up and use’ basis.  In addition other members are often prepared to lend their boats out.

It is a community-led initiative which aims to combat climate change by cutting our community carbon dioxide emissions by 80% by 2050, encouraging residents to live more sustainably, and contributing to a more cohesive and resilient community.
